Attending the GOAT Awards this past year was an absolutely incredible experience. The event brought together some of the most talented and dedicated individuals in the martial arts community, people who not only excel in their craft but also make a meaningful impact in their local communities and beyond.
Being surrounded by such high-level martial artists and leaders was both inspiring and humbling. The atmosphere was filled with respect, passion, and a shared commitment to excellence and personal growth. It was more than just an awards ceremony; it was a celebration of discipline, perseverance, and the positive influence martial arts has on society.
I left the GOAT Awards feeling deeply motivated and grateful to be part of a community that continues to uplift others and promote values that truly shape lives for the better.
What stood out to me most about the GOAT Award experience was the professionalism and unity among martial artists from all around the world. From the moment we landed, everything was handled with excellence, our airport pickup, the smooth ride to the hotel, and the stress-free welcome. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Grand Master Lawrence and several black belts, setting the tone for what would be an unforgettable event.
The first day was incredible. I participated in the Master’s Belt Test, standing alongside candidates from more than nine different countries. The panel consisted of Grand Masters whose combined experience exceeded 200 years in martial arts, each one a 10th-degree black belt, highly skilled, deeply respected, and profoundly professional in their craft.
What moved me most was the camaraderie. Despite coming from different nations, cultures, and backgrounds, we supported each other, trained together, and encouraged one another. On exam day, we gave everything we had, and I was victorious. Becoming one of the youngest Grand Masters in the world is an honor I will forever cherish. Standing among the elites felt like standing on the shoulders of giants.
The banquet night of the GOAT Award was truly out of this world. The black tuxedos, the roses, the atmosphere of excellence, everything was first class. The plaques, the rings, the attention to detail… it was high-class, five-star, all the way through.
The GOAT Award was beautiful in every sense. It was a celebration of mastery, unity, and the global martial arts family, and I was proud to be part of it.
